Thank you Jessica, superb summary of the UN event. My big takeaway from the sessions: think globally, act locally. Locally can mean house by house, street by street. NGOs are doing most of the work. Another big takeaway: violence against women is so culturally entrenched and accepted by both males and females, that the best way to eliminate it is incrementally, small step by small step — a hard pill to swallow, but in the end it’s the strategy of small wins that wins.
